Beautiful Listings is a real estate photography and media company based in San Marcos, California, serving San Diego County and the Temecula Valley. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can opt out.

We collect the information we need to quote, schedule, shoot, and deliver your listing media, and not much else.

What we collect

From ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you fill out one of our lead forms, we receive the name, email address, and phone number on your Meta account, along with the answer you give about the size of your next listing.

From our website. If you use a booking or contact form on beautifullistings.com, we receive your name, email address, phone number, and whatever details you include about the property or the work you want.

When you book a shoot. Our scheduling and delivery platform holds your contact details, the property address, appointment times, the media we produce for you, your invoices, and your payment records. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers.

Email newsletter. If you sign up for our newsletter, or if you are a past client, we hold your name and email address on our mailing list.

Automatically, when you visit the website. Our website platform records standard visit data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, and device and browser type. We also use the Meta pixel, which records the pages you visit on our site and reports that activity back to Meta so our ads reach people who are more likely to need listing photography. Both use cookies. See the Cookies and advertising section below for how to turn this off.

How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry and send you exact pricing
  • To schedule shoots and coordinate property access
  • To deliver photos, video, tours, and floor plans
  • To invoice you and take payment
  • To send marketing email to people who asked for it
  • To measure and target our own advertising
  • To keep normal business records for tax and accounting

We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not use your information for anything unrelated to providing or marketing photography and media services.

Who we share it with

We run this business on a small number of outside platforms. Your information goes to these providers only, and only so they can do their job:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising, lead forms, and the website pixel
  • Aryeo, for scheduling, media delivery, invoicing, and payment
  • Squarespace, for the website and its forms
  • Mailchimp, for the email newsletter
  • Google, for email and file storage

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example a valid legal request from a government authority.

We do not sell your personal information. We have never taken money for it and we will not. We do not rent, trade, or hand our client list to anyone.

We do use Meta's advertising tools, which involves sharing some information with Meta. Two specific cases, stated plainly because California law treats them as sharing for advertising purposes:

  1. The Meta pixel on our website reports your visit to Meta so we can advertise to people who have shown interest in listing media.
  2. We have uploaded our client and newsletter email list to Meta to build advertising audiences.

Marketing email and how to opt out

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are off the list, no reply needed. You can also email brendan@beautifullistings.com and ask, and we will remove you.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop the emails tied to a shoot you actually booked, such as scheduling confirmations, delivery links, and invoices.

Cookies and advertising

You can limit the tracking described above in three ways:

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser settings
  • Adjust what Meta shows you in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences
  • Email brendan@beautifullistings.com and ask us to remove you from our advertising audiences, and we will

How long we keep it

Client and project records are kept as long as we need them to run the business and meet tax and accounting requirements. Inquiries that never turn into work are kept while they are still useful and then removed.

Your choices

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email brendan@beautifullistings.com and we will handle it. We will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what is collected, the right to have it deleted, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. To opt out, use any of the three methods in the Cookies and advertising section, or email us.

Children

Our services are for real estate professionals and property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
